METSA presentation

The national network METSA (Transmission Electron Microscopy and Atom Probe) was created in 2008 by CNRS and CEA, in cooperation with the Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche et de l’Innovation. The network gives access to advanced machines and associated expertise to French and foreign researchers, from academic or private research centers.

CLYM is one of the 8 nodes of the METSA network and gives access to:

  • An Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope (ESEM),
  • A Cs-corrected Environmental Transmission Electron Microscope (ETEM),
  • A dual-beam Focused Ion Beam (FIB/SEM), as preparation technique for analyses in environmental electron microscopy.

The METSA network launches 2 calls for projects every year. The information relative to METSA and the calls for projects is available at www.metsa.fr
For any project requiring the microscopes hosted by CLYM, we invite you to contact us in advance (contact@clym.fr).
